CAN YOU KEEP A SECRET?

Have you ever considered if Abraham informed his wife, Sarah about the fact that God instructed him to take their only son, Isaac and sacrifice him on mount Moriah? Your guess is as good as mine. "And Abraham said to his young men, stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you"- Gen.22:5.

Do you also notice that, Abraham did not also tell his servants who travelled with him on this journey? The last time Abraham's wife knew about the fact that God promised him a son from his own loins, she persuaded Abraham to have a child through her maid. At every moment you want to figure out God's instruction with your own sense knowledge, it would always lead to chaos. This time around, Abraham kept this instruction to himself, he did not tell Sarah, not even the servants who travelled with him.

A lot of people have short changed and diverted their own destinies because they are too flippant. It is not everything about your life that you should talk to people about. I call it verbal diarrhoea- talking too much and inability to keep secret. Believe me brother and sister, you must have a secret!

It is not everything about God's plan for your life and destiny that must be shared with other people. Your life should not be an open editorial. Friend, some things are best kept secret until the day of their showing. Either you like it or not, it is not every one that wants your head lifted- that is a fact! Even people around you who meant well for you might give you a wrong interpretation of what God is asking you to do thereby leading to destiny derailment.

When there is a divine instruction, wait on God like Abraham did, and the God of the instruction will show you the way to go.

Pray with me; Father, I ask for grace to keep divine secret.

Shalom!
