BEWARE OF FRUITLESS JOURNEY

Acts 9:1-2 "Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the Synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem".

Often times, people have been zealous for evil purposes without knowing it themselves. Today, I want you to pause and check every activities or past time you are involved in to find out if they are truly part of your destiny. Saul was on an evil journey but he did not know. He was close to the highest authority in the land, thereby he was able to get a letter to persecute the followers of Christ. This is a serious destiny diversion but because of his high level of educational, religious and political attainment, he believed he was on the right track. Saul believed he was doing God's will. What a deception!

Bro and Sister, if you don't take time to check yourself to see if what you are doing right now is part of the purpose of God for your life, it is a dangerous thing. Your closeness to power and your achievement educationally, politically and economically is not a pointer that you are doing God's will. The devil often use this to deceive the children of God in a very subtle way especially if one is not sensitive enough to know that, it is not every journey that is ordained by God.

See vs.3a..."As he journeyed he came near Damascus...". Saul embarked on a fruitless journey to carry out evil intentions. Where is your own journey taking you to? Is your journey ordained by God or by the authority you answer to?

Pray with me; Father, I refuse to embark on a fruitless journey!

Shalom!
